Inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899, this high-energy musical tells the story of Jack Kelly and his band of spirited young newsies who dream of a better life beyond the streets of New York City. When publishing giants raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike for what’s right.

Over his 22 years at UVU, Dr. Reyes has served as Vice President of Student Affairs, Senior Inclusion Officer, and Chief of Staff to the President. He is also a tenured Associate Professor of Education and author of the best-selling book Lenses of Humanity: How Reflection, Connection, and Empathy Can Change Our World.
