The deadline to be identified as one of Lone Peak's Top Scholars is quickly approaching. The school will be pulling student data at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27th to begin narrowing down the list of Top Scholars--including Valedictorian and Salutatorian. The data that will be analyzed includes: student's highest ACT Composite score as of the February 9th ACT Test and GPA. Bonus points will be awarded to grades earned in AP, Honors, and Concurrent Enrollment Courses.
We encourage all students to review their transcripts to ensure that all classes are coded correctly and grades are accurate. Any necessary corrections should be made prior to Friday, March 27th
After the data is pulled, a committee of teachers, administrators, and counselors will input the data into a spreadsheet with an algorithm that will generate a score and a ranking for the class of 2026. This list will then be sorted alphabetically and posted in the front office window. The recipients of this award will be recognized at our Knight of Recognition on Wednesday, May 13th and will sit on the stand during the Graduation Ceremony at BYU on Thursday, May 20th.
