Our boys soccer team is looking for managers to help with the rest of this season. If you would like to help, see Mr. Walker in room 101

Are you a senior who will attend Westminster in the fall? Please see Mrs. Tucker in the career center today for a great scholarship opportunity.

Auditions for the 2019-2020 A Capella Choir and Advanced Women’s Ensemble are now being held. Information about the auditions and about other Lone Peak Choir Room. Sign up for audition time on the door of the Choir Room (room 102). The choirs go on tour every year and participate in concerts and the Region Competitions. Come be a part of a great tradition at Lone Peak High School.

If you are competing tomorrow in TSA and have any questions please come to Tophams room during lunch.

Do you want to create something that will be used at Lone Peak for years to come? Create a poster or video show casing the PEAK character traits. For more info or to submit entry by 3/27 see Mrs. Hunt (room 700) or Mrs. Baggett (room 141)

Mascot Madness is coming up! Come at 7:00 on Monday, March 25 and watch your favorite basketball players take on your favorite mascots, including: Cosmo, Swoop, and WIllie! Hope to see you all there!

  • Do you need attendance school?? The boys soccer game on Friday counts for 1 hour of attendance school. Admission is free and the game starts at 3:30
  • This Friday, March 15th is Morp! Girls get your party on in the USA and ask a guy to Morp! Get your tickets for $15 in advance at the finance office or for $20 at the door. The dance is at Lone Peak from 8-11 pm.
  • We are having our 2nd semester connections activity on Wednesday March 20, We’d love to have you attend. We will be playing games, learning about stress and resilience and eating lunch. See your counselor this week to get a permission slop if you’d like to attend.

There will be a National Honors Society meeting this Wednesday the 13th at lunch in the Little Theater. Find out about our 4th term service project and other opportunities.

There will be a parent meeting tonight at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium. The meeting is for all students and their parents interested in playing football next year.

Do you want to support Lone Peak by playing games? Then come to the Alpine Gaming Convention this Saturday March 9th at Game Grid Lehi! There will be all types of games from video games to board games to card games, whatever you want to play will be there! For more information, talk to Mr. Nair in room 119.

Election packets are available in the front office. They need to be turned in by Thursday February 28, 2019.

9th-12th Grade Softball Tryouts tomorrow, the 27th and also the 28th from 3-6pm in the black gym. Mandatory parent meeting Friday March 1st. 6pm little theater.

  • Any athletes wanting to tryout for a spring sport this week must register on Registermyathlete.com and have a current physical. Check in with Mr. Walker in room 101 prior to tryouts to receive a wristband.

Student Council election packets are available in the front office. They need to be turned in by Thursday February 28th, 2019.

Track and Field starts Monday, February 25th. If you haven’t checked in with Coach Molen, please do so ASAP in room 800.

Our Girls Basketball team has advanced to the State Semi-final. Held this Friday at Salt Lake Community College at 4pm. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased today at the finance office. There is a spirit bus that students can ride and 2 hours of attendance credit and pizza will be given to those who ride the bus. All others will get 1 hour for attending.

Friday night’s choir concert counts for attendance school. The cost is $5  ahead of time and $7 at the door, it starts at 7:30 and counts for 1 hour of attendance school. This is for Fridays concert only.

Juniors! Tomorrow is your free ACT test. Get a good night’s rest, eat a good breakfast and be at your assigned classroom no later than 7:45 am, check the attendance office windows for your room assignments. You need to bring #2 pencils, a photo ID and an ACT approved calculator. Check the attendance office window for a list of approved calculators. Good luck tomorrow!

Juniors, if you did not bubble in an ACT answer sheet in your English class last week, you MUST come to the Little Theater today during lunch to get this done. If you don’t fill out your answer sheet before test day, next Wednesday, Feb 20, you will not be able to test.

Congratulations to the Academic Decathlon team. At the Regional competition this past weekend at Westminster College, the team placed third out of 18 teams. Top scholar in the Honors category for the entire tournament was Ann Jones, with Alex Bagley earning the top scholar in the Scholastic category. Ann also earned Gold medals in Art, Essay and Literature, Math and Social Science. Alex Bagley won Gold medal  in Art and Social Science, and Silver medals in Math, Music, Science and Speech. Abby Smith earned Bronze medals in At, Economics, Essay, and Social Science. Mallary Wootton earned Gold medals in Essay, and Silver medals in Economics and Interview. Mallary also earned a Bronze medal overall in the tournament. Andrew Conley also earned a Bronze medal in Math. Congratulations to these Academic Decathlon students.

Our next Connections follow up activity will be this Friday during lunch in the Black Gym. Come eat Pizza and play 12 square.

This Wednesday come have some special Valentines day waffles made with love, after school in the Little Theater. Bring a dollar and some friends. All proceeds are going to Gold Rush!

Jack and Jill’s bowling night is tomorrow the 13th.
